Fox Lake RCMP makes arrest in firearm and drug related investigation

Fox Lake, Alta. – On Nov. 16, 2025, Fox Lake RCMP began an investigation into a local resident who was selling cocaine and liquor from their residence. This culminated in a search warrant that took place on Feb. 13, 2026. As a result of the search warrant, one suspect was arrested and the following items were seized:

• 22 firearms;
• Ammunition;
• Hard body armor;
• Small amounts of cocaine;
• $11000 in Canadian currency; and
• Drug trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation a resident of Fox Lake was arrested and released on conditions pending crown approval for the following charges:

• Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
• Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (x4);
• Unauthorized possession of firearm (x2);
• Possession of a weapon obtained by crime; and
• Other firearm-related offences (x4).

Court appearance is schedules for April 14, 2026, before the Alberta Court of Justice in Fort Vermilion.
