Parkland RCMP arrest and charge suspect in armed robbery investigation

Imitation firearm

Spruce Grove, Alta. –  At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 13, 2025, Parkland RCMP responded to an armed robbery with a firearm at a licensed premise. After a lengthy investigation by the Parkland RCMP General Investigation Section, a suspect has been identified and charged.  

A 52-year-old, resident of Wabamun , Alta., has been charged with the following: 

  • Robbery with an imitation firearm;
  • Use of an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence; and
  • And disguise with intent. 

The individual was remanded into custody with their next court appearance on Mar. 25, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.

“An armed robbery is a violent act” states Sergeant Kuca, Commander of Parkland RCMP Plain Clothes Unit. “These investigations can be complex, and identifying and charging a suspect helps to ensure public safety.”
