Rocky Mountain House RCMP lay trafficking charges

Rocky Mountain House, Alta. – On March 19, 2026, as part of an assault investigation, Rocky Mountain House RCMP, executed a search warrant at a residence on 48 street in Rocky Mountain House. As a result of the search RCMP seized:

  • Over 5 grams of suspected cocaine;
  • Over 8 grams of suspected methamphetamine; 
  • Cash and other items used for trafficking drugs; and
  • Counterfeit 100, 50 and 20 dollar bills. 

As a result, RCMP have charged a 19-year-old individual with;

  • Assault with a weapon;
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance (x2); and
  • Possession of counterfeit currency. 

The individual was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released from custody with their next court date set for April 15, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Rocky Mountain House. 

RCMP have charged a 39-year-old with 22 offences including;

  • Assault with a weapon (x3);
  • Assault causing bodily harm;
  • Uttering Threats (x3);
  • Weapons offences (x6);
  • Mischief;
  • Fraud under $5000;
  • Possession of a forged document;
  • Obtain food by fraud;
  • Possession of a counterfeit stamp;
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance (x2);
  • Possession of counterfeit currency (x2). 

The individual was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with their next court date set for March 25, 206 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Rocky Mountain House
