Peace River RCMP makes arrest in stolen vehicle investigation

Peace River, Alta. – On March 26, 2026, around 8:56 p.m., Peace River RCMP responded to a call of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located within 15 minutes at Wilderness Park. The driver and passenger were both arrested and the vehicle was returned to the owner.

As a result of the investigation, the first individual, a 42-year-old and a second individual, a 35-year-old, both residents of Peace River, were charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000;
  • Driving while prohibited; and
  • Theft under $5000.

The first individual was additionally charged with 2 counts of failure to comply with court orders. Both were brought before a justice of the peace and remanded into custody. They are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River on March 30, 2026.
