Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigate homicide near Leduc – Update #5

Leduc, Alta. – The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has charged a second individual in relation to the March 14, 2026, shooting death on a 22-year-old, on the QE II near Leduc. 

On March 26, 2026, a 23-year-old individual was arrested in Edmonton. They have been charged with;

• Second-degree-murder; and
• Accessory after the fact.  

The individual has been taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with their next court date set for April 2, 2026 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc.
