Airdrie Rural RCMP on scene at assault with a weapon at CrossIron Mills mall - Update

Rocky View County, Alta. - On April 13, 2026, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Airdrie RCMP received a 911 call reporting at stabbing in the CrossIron Mills parking lot, just outside of entrance 4. Initial investigation has revealed that the victim was purchasing items from the suspect when they were stabbed in the chest. 

EMS attended and the victim was taken to a Calgary hospital in serious condition. The suspect fled the scene in a black SUV. 

RCMP cleared the scene at around 11 p.m. The investigation continues.
