Fox Lake RCMP charge individual with shooting at residence

Fox Lake, Alta. – On March 29, 2026, Fox Lake RCMP received a report of a home being shot at with a firearm in Fox Lake. RCMP attended and confirmed that the home was shot. There were no injuries. As a result of the investigation, RCMP were able identify a suspect. On April 5, 2026, RCMP arrested and charged 27-year-old resident of Fox Lake with:
- Careless use of a firearm;
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence;
- Possession of a firearm contrary to court order (x2);
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
- Mischief; and
- Disguise with intent.
The individual was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with their next court date set for April 23, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level.
