St. Paul RCMP on scene of serious motor vehicle collision - Update

Ashmont, Alta. - St. Paul RCMP and emergency services have cleared from the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred this morning shortly before 6 a.m., near Highway 28 and Highway 36. Preliminary investigation reveals a collision occurred with a stopped semi-truck and an SUV which resulted in the sole, 72-year-old driver, a resident of St. Paul, declared deceased at the scene. 

St. Paul RCMP responded to and had assistance from an Alberta RCMP Collision Analyst, Ashmont Fire and Emergency Medical Services. This police investigation remains ongoing. 

St. Paul RCMP send their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased individual.
