Westlock County, Alta. — On Apr. 21, 2026, at approximately 11:10 a.m., Westlock RCMP responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 44, just north of Highway 651. Traffic in both directions on Highway 44 is currently being redirected.

The public is asked to avoid this intersection while emergency crews respond and an investigation takes place. An update is anticipated once more information becomes available or when emergency crews are clear of this intersection. For the most up to date information, consult Alberta 511.
