Manning, Alta. – On April 13, 2026, Manning RCMP received a report of a concerning investment business operating in Manning. RCMP is currently working with the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC), the regulatory agency responsible for administering the province’s investment laws. ASC officials have confirmed that an entity, located on 4 Avenue in Manning, may be engaged in providing investment contracts and trading in securities without dealer or adviser registration.

On Feb. 17, 2026, the ASC released an Investor Alert warning the public that this entity is not registered in Alberta. Registration ensures that entities are qualified to sell investments and are compliant with regulatory obligations, including investor protection measures. The ASC further identified warning signs that this entity may be a fraudulent investment scheme.

While the RCMP continues to investigate, we are asking the public for assistance. If you believe you are a victim of an investment or fraud crime in relation to an agency located on 4 Avenue in Manning, please call Manning RCMP at 780-836-3007 or your local police. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8377 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.

To help protect yourself from investment scams, it is important to check that the individual, firm or platform is registered with Canadian securities regulators. Investors can quickly and easily check registration for free by visiting the CheckFirst website or aretheyregistered.ca.
