Red Deer and Blackfalds RCMP execute multiple warrants

Red Deer, Alta. – Red Deer and Blackfalds RCMP arrested multiple offenders after a quick investigation of a suspicious vehicle. 

On Apr. 10, 2026, at 2:19 p.m., Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) located a suspicious vehicle in the area of Gasoline Alley. 

After a quick investigation, police located and recovered a dirt bike which had been stolen in August 2025, out of Red Deer, Alta. With the assistance of Blackfalds RCMP and Blackfalds General Investigation Section (GIS), Red Deer RCMP CRT arrested the driver of the suspicious vehicle.

45-year-old resident of Red Deer County was arrested for multiple outstanding warrants and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000. 

Following a Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing, they were released with conditions to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Apr. 24, 2026.

A second individual, a 40-year-old a resident of Red Deer, was in the area and was arrested on outstanding warrants. The individual was remanded into custody following a Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing. They are scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Apr. 14, 2026.

While police were on scene of the initial investigation, a second vehicle was stopped by Blackfalds RCMP. The driver, a 62-year-old resident of Red Deer, was arrested for outstanding warrants. The registered owner of the vehicle, a 64-year-old resident of Red Deer, was also arrested for an outstanding warrant on a Traffic Safety Act violation. 

Following a Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing, they were released with conditions to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Killam on May 5, 2026. 

The registered owner was released on an Appearance notice to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer, on May 4, 2026.
