Cold Lake RCMP arrest drug traffickers

Cold Lake, Alta– On April 23, 2026, the Cold Lake RCMP’s General Investigations Section executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of 8 street and 10 Avenue in Cold Lake in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.  

Police arrested multiple people inside the residence and located a quantity of suspected cocaine, several firearms, and other items consistent in the illegal sale of controlled substances. Two suspects are facing charges in relation to this investigation.

A 43-year-old a resident of Cold Lake, has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. 

They have been brought before a Justice of the Peace and released with her next court date set for May 20, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake. 

A 36-year-old resident of Cold Lake, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance;
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a Prohibition Order;
  • Possession of a firearm while unauthorized; and
  • Careless storage of a firearm.

They have been brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with their next court date set for April 28, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Bonnyville.
