RCMP Major Crimes Unit charges individual with Second Degree Murder

Mini Thni Stoney First Nation, Alta. - On April 26, 2026, at approximately 7 p.m., Cochrane RCMP responded to a residence on Mini Thni Stoney First Nation for a family disturbance. RCMP attended and the suspect had fled the residence.
Officers located a deceased individual in a secondary residence on the property. The suspect was located in a wooded area near the residence and was arrested.
An autopsy of the deceased took place on April 27, 2026, and the manner of death was deemed to be a homicide.
An 18-year-old resident of Mini Thni, has been charged with the second-degree murder of a 38-year-old Calgary resident.
