RCMP Major Crimes investigating Maskwacis homicide

Louis Bull First Nation, Alta. - On May 1, 2026, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Maskwacis RCMP was dispatched to a possible stabbing in Louis Bull First Nation. Officers responded, as well as EMS, and located a victim bleeding from a neck wound. First aid was rendered; however, the 21-year-old Louis Bull resident, was declared deceased at the scene.
RCMP Major Crimes Unit was called and has taken carriage of the investigation. An autopsy was completed on May 4, 2026, at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary, and the manner of death was confirmed to be homicide.
