Alberta Community Response Team makes arrest in Tofield

Tofield, Alta – The Alberta Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Alberta Sheriffs Safe Community and Neighbourhoods team, conclude a drug trafficking investigation. 

On May 6, 2026, the Albert Community Response team began a drug trafficking investigation at a residence in the area of 52A Street in Tofield. Police executed a search warrant at the residence and arrested a 37-year-old as well as a 25-year-old, both residents of Tofield. As a result of the search, police located and seized a quantity of cocaine and Canadian currency.

As a result of the investigation, the 37-year-old was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. The 25-year-old was also arrested on outstanding warrants from Edmonton Police Services.  

The 37-year-old individual was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. They are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Vegreville on May 25, 2026.
