St. Albert RCMP arrests suspect in serious assault - Update

St. Albert, Alta. – St. Albert RCMP has obtained Crown Approval for charges for the May 1, 2026, assault. 

A 40-year-old resident of St. Albert, has been charged with the following:

• Aggravated assault; and
• Uttering threats.

They were also charged with two Traffic Safety Act offences. 

They are scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on June 8, 2026. As this matter is before the courts, no further information will be released.
