Leduc RCMP responds to break and enter; suspects charged

Leduc, Alta.- On May 7, 2026, at 12:52 a.m., Leduc RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress to a business in Nisku. On arrival, police set up containment of the area and quickly located a suspect involved in the occurrence.
A 33-year-old resident of Leduc County, is facing the following charges:
- Break and enter with intent
- Possess break- in instruments
They were held for a Judicial Interim release hearing and was remanded into custody. They are set to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on May 11, 2026.
Further investigation led to the arrest of a second suspect.
A 42-year-old resident of Whitecourt, is facing the following charges:
- Break and enter with intent
- Possess break- in instruments
They were held for a Judicial Interim release hearing and was remanded into custody. They are set to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Drayton Valley on May 12, 2026.
