Westlock RCMP respond to fatal residential housefire

Clyde, Alta. — On May 11, 2026, shortly before 9 p.m., Westlock RCMP responded to a report of a residential house fire in Clyde. A 42-year-old resident was declared deceased on scene. A fire investigator and a medical examiner will be assisting Westlock RCMP in this police investigation. Westlock RCMP’s investigation is ongoing.

Westlock RCMP were assisted by Alberta RCMP’s Real Time Operation Centre in Edmonton, RCMP Forensic Identification Services, Westlock Fire and Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, and Eastern Alberta's Regional Victim Serving Society.

Westlock RCMP send their condolences to family and friends of the deceased.
