Consort RCMP arrest and charge a individual for a break and enter, with outstanding warrants from Saskatchewan

Consort, Alta. – On May 4, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Consort RCMP received information there was an individual, a dog, and a truck, in a business location near Township Road 364 and Range Road 74, where no one was reportedly to be. While Consort RCMP were responding, a truck, individual and dog were observed matching the description of the suspect and vehicle. Consort RCMP initiated a traffic stop and the subsequent police investigation led to the individual being arrested for break and enter. Further investigation revealed the suspect had a Canada wide driving prohibition, outstanding warrants from Saskatchewan, and was on numerous release conditions.
A 30-year-old resident of Kindersley, Sask., and a resident of Medicine Hat, Alta., is facing numerous charges including:
- Break and enter (non-residential);
- Mischief;
- Drive while prohibited; and
- Fail to comply x3.
A judicial interim hearing was held, and the 30-year-old was remanded into custody. They are set to appear next at 10 a.m., on May 15, 2026, in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
A warrant extension was granted, and the individual will be transported back to Saskatchewan for their outstanding charges there.
