Airdrie RCMP advising the public of heavy police presence

Airdrie, Alta. – Airdrie RCMP are currently on scene of a collision on Bayside Boulevard, between 8 Street and Canal’s Link. Initial information suggests that the vehicle was in an altercation with several other vehicles when the collision occurred. Shots were then fired towards the vehicle. Four people have been transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident is believed to be targeted, and Airdrie RCMP does not believe there is any danger to the general public at this time. The public is asked to avoid the area while police conduct their investigation.
