Cold Lake RCMP remind cyclists and drivers to be safe on the roads after collision

Cold Lake, Alta.- On May 28, 2026, at 8:18 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP received a call of a vehicle versus cyclist collision at the intersection in front of City Hall.
With the assistance from Cold Lake Fire and Cold Lake Emergency Medical Services, Cold Lake RCMP were able to assess and take control of the scene. Medical attention was quickly provided to the cyclist who is expected to recover without any life-threatening injuries.
RCMP quickly determined that the collision was not criminal in nature. RCMP would like to remind drivers in cross walk zones to be vigilant of pedestrians and cyclists and observe speeds in high pedestrian areas. Cyclists are also reminded to always wear a helmet while riding bicycles.
