Slave Lake RCMP makes arrest after locating stolen property

Slave Lake, Alta. – On June 3, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., Slave Lake RCMP members were on pro-active patrols and observed a quad that matched the description of one that had been stolen in the early morning hours of the same day. The person on the quad was known to police for property-related crimes. Slave Lake RCMP confirmed that the quad had been stolen and arrested the suspect.
As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old resident of Slave Lake, was charged with possession of stolen property under $5000 and failure to comply with undertaking. They were brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions, to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake on June 10, 2026.
“Our members remain committed to proactively targeting property crime and repeat offenders” said S./Sgt Casey Bruyns, Detachment Commander of the Slave Lake RCMP. “Recovering stolen property and returning it to its rightful owner is a direct result of that ongoing effort”.
