Ponoka, Alta. - On May 13, 2026, shortly before 1:30 p.m., Ponoka RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at a rural lease site in Ponoka County. The complainant reported locating a truck in the lease site with two suspects inside. The complainant noticed copper wire had been cut from the lease site. The complainant locked the gate to prevent the suspects from leaving; however, the suspects cut through the fence and drove away.
