Update Mînî Thnî RCMP recover stolen bicycle

Cochrane, Alta. – On June 12, 2026, Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of a bicycle stolen from the back of a vehicle while the driver was on the phone to police. The driver was stranded on Highway 1 near Mînî Thnî after the vehicle’s tire was damaged.  

On June 16, the Stoney Nakoda Protective Services team contacted Mînî Thnî RCMP to advise that they believed they had located the stolen bicycle. RCMP attended and confirmed that the serial number on the recovered bicycle matched the serial number of the stolen bicycle.  Mînî Thnî RCMP contacted the owner to provide an update. No charges have been laid at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
