Parkland RCMP investigate injury collision

Parkland County, Alta. – On June 24, 2026, at 2:05 p.m., Parkland RCMP received a report of a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 627 and Range Road 10,
RCMP received a 911 notification requesting police assistance, after a gravel truck and a Honda Civic collided. Reports indicated that two people were seriously injured.
Police and Parkland Emergency Services responded, and the roadway was blocked for several hours. Parkland County Peace Officers (CPO’s) and Ledcor assist with re-routing traffic while police conduct their investigation with the assistance of Alberta RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.
The two occupants of the Civic were taken to hospital for treatment. The driver, a 29-year-old resident of Edmonton, was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition. The passenger, a 19-year-old resident of Edmonton was transported to hospital by STARS in critical condition.
The driver of the gravel truck, a 42-year-old resident of Sherwood Park, was assessed at the scene by EMS.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
