Drayton Valley RCMP seizes firearms

Brazeau County, Alta. - On June 25, 2026, Drayton Valley RCMP, with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a rural address on Township Road 503 in Brazeau County.

As a result of the search warrant, the following was seized: 

• Four firearms, including two prohibited firearms and prohibited magazines;
• A 3D printer and 3D printed firearms parts;
• Ammunition; and
• Other stolen property.

A 33-year-old has been charged with 23 criminal charges including:

• Possession of firearms while prohibited;
• Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm;
• Possession of prohibited devices; and
• Possession of stolen property.

After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, they had been remanded in custody to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on July 2, 2026. 

Drayton Valley RCMP would like to extend their thanks to the community for their assistance in this file and listening to direction of officers while they worked in the area.
