Lloydminster RCMP investigating shots fired incident

Lloydminster, Alta. – On June 26, 2026, at approximately 7:57 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the Lloydminster Travelodge. Residents may notice an increased police presence in the area as officers continue their investigation.

As part of the investigation, police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two white four door BMW SUVs with unknown licence plates. One of the SUVs is believed to have sustained damage to the rear. Both vehicles were last seen travelling southbound on 50 Avenue near 36 Street. 

Investigators are also attempting to identify and locate a black Dodge Ram pickup truck and a dark coloured Hyundai sedan that may be connected to the investigation.

One suspect involved was last seen wearing a tan hoodie, tan pants, and white shoes. Also present was a female wearing a red shirt and black pants and male wearing a white shirt and green shorts with white trim. 

It is not believed there is an ongoing threat to public safety.
