St. Albert, Alta. -  On June 26, 2026, St. Albert RCMP responded to a series of robberies at local businesses, resulting in the arrest of four individuals.

At approximately 6:44 p.m., St. Albert RCMP was dispatched to an armed robbery at a local liquor store. Two male suspects entered the store and attempted to leave with unpaid merchandise. When confronted by staff, one of the suspects produced what is believed to have been a firearm. A licence plate associated with the suspect vehicle was obtained and later confirmed to have been stolen from Edmonton earlier that day.

At approximately 7:17 p.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a second incident at another liquor store. Two males entered the store and stole a case of liquor. Staff did not confront the suspects, and no weapon was observed.

At approximately 8:01 p.m., St. Albert RCMP received a third report of a robbery at a clothing store. A male suspect entered the store, took approximately 20 shirts, and displayed what is believed to have been a firearm to two employees. The weapon was not pointed at anyone.

Officers located a suspect vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby business bearing the previously identified stolen licence plate. A high-risk arrest was conducted, resulting in the arrest of three individuals inside the vehicle, which was also confirmed to have been stolen from Edmonton. Shortly afterward, officers observed a fourth suspect exiting a nearby store carrying a

sledgehammer and a tool bag. The individual attempted to flee on foot but was arrested with the assistance of a member of the public.

A search of the vehicle, conducted with assistance from the St. Albert General Investigation Section, resulted in the seizure of bear spray, a sword, and break-in tools.
