Banff RCMP on scene at collision – advising of traffic delays

Banff, Alta, - Banff RCMP is advising that they are currently on scene at a motor vehicle collision on Highway 1, about 2 km’s west of the Banff Park gates. Currently, westbound lanes are unaffected. The eastbound lanes are down to one lane, and traffic is very backed up. 

Please avoid travel in this area if possible.

An update will be sent when normal traffic resumes.
