Lloydminster RCMP respond to disturbance- suspects arrested

Lloydminster, SK. – On July 11, 2026, at 10:48 p.m. Lloydminster RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at the Lloydminster fair. 

Officers quickly arrived at the scene and located an intoxicated individual, who had made numerous attempts to instigate fights with fair attendees. While officers were effecting the arrest, the accused resisted and failed to comply with their lawful directions. During this time, a second individual became involved and assaulted one of the responding officers.

As a result of the incident, Lloydminster RCMP have arrested and charged 2 individuals.  

A 37-year-old resident of Saskatoon, was arrested and charged with the following: 

• Overcome resistance;
• Assault peace officer causing bodily harm;
• Resist or obstruct a peace officer; and
• Cause a disturbance.

A 31-year-old resident of Onion Lake SK, was arrested and charged with the following: 

• Assault;
• Assault a peace officer;
• Resist or obstruct a peace officer;
• Cause a disturbance; and
• Fail to comply with an order

Following Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing’s, both were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in the Saskatchewan Court of Justice in Lloydminster on July 13, 2026.
