Wood Buffalo RCMP seek public assistance following vandalism to vehicles

Fort McMurray, Alta. – On July 26, 2026, Wood Buffalo RCMP received 11 reports of vehicle-related thefts and vandalism in the Downtown area of Fort McMurray and reports of numerous vehicles being damaged in the Gregoire neighbourhood.

On Jul. 26, 2026, between 1:22 a.m. and 6:54 p.m., multiple vehicles were reported to have had their windows smashed. In one incident, a vehicle's trunk was forced open, and items including tools, laptops, and golf clubs were stolen.

The affected vehicles were parked on Greely Road, Manning Avenue, and Fraser Avenue.

Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to investigate and are looking for surveillance or dash camera footage of the area at the time.
