Strathcona County RCMP respond to serious motor vehicle collision

Strathcona County Fire and EMS, responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover near Range Road 214 and Township Road 524, Strathcona County. 

Upon arrival, Strathcona County RCMP determined a lone SUV had lost control on the gravel road and rolled off the roadway into a swampy ditch nearby, landing upright in the body of water.  

The 21-year-old driver, a 21-year-old passenger and a youth passenger were able to exit the vehicle and had advised emergency crews a fourth person was unaccounted for.

Strathcona County Fire were able to lift the vehicle from the water and located the 21-year-old passenger underneath who had suffered life threatening injuries.

EMS rushed her to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

RCMP send condolences to the families and friends of all involved.
