Fairview RCMP responds to a report of a drive-be shooting

Fairview, Alta. – On Sept. 8, 2026, around 6:50 p.m., Fairview RCMP received a call regarding a drive-by shooting with a victim being shot in the head. RCMP Officers responded immediately and investigation revealed that the victim sustained minor injuries after being shot with a pellet pistol in the head following a dispute with the suspects. The following morning police located the suspect vehicle at a residence, a search warrant was granted, and both individuals were taken into custody.  

As a result of the investigation a 28-year-old resident of Worsley, Alta., and a 25-year-old resident of Hines Creek, Alta., were charged with assault with a weapon. Both were brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions, to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview on Sept. 23, 2026, for the resident of Worsley and Oct. 14, 2026, for the resident of Hines Creek.
