Grande Prairie RCMP on scene of a motor vehicle collision

Grande Prairie, Alta. – Grande Prairie RCMP are currently on scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a semi-truck transporting diesel fuel on Highway 40, near North Imperial road. No major injuries have been reported but the tanker is on fire. Highway 40 will be closed in the area while emergency crews respond. The public is asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel.

An update is anticipated once the highway reopens.
