Strathcona County RCMP on scene of plane emergency landing

Sherwood Park, Alta. – Strathcona County RCMP are currently on scene of a plane on Highway 21 between Highway 16 and Baseline Road, in Strathcona County, Alta. 

A Cessna 172 plane made an emergency landing, is currently blocking the south bound lanes of Highway 21.  Traffic is being re-directed until emergency crews can clear the scene.

The pilot and passenger on board the plane did not sustain any injuries. 

Transportation Safety Board has been advised.
