Elk Point RCMP seeking public assistance after break and enter to pipeline station

Elk Point, Alta. – On Sept. 17, 2025, around 7:14 a.m., Elk Point RCMP was dispatched to a break and enter that took place overnight at a pipeline station located on Range Road 50 in the County of St. Paul, Alta. According to site staff, an alert went out at 2:30 a.m. to signal a power failure and, upon investigating, they noted extensive damages including cooper wire theft from the power building. The damages are currently estimated at approximately $500,000. There was no release of petroleum products as a result of the damage. The investigation is ongoing.
