Tofield RCMP seeks public assistance in Arson investigation

Tofield, Alta. – On Sept. 16, 2026, at 3 a.m., Tofield RCMP were informed of a structure fire at the Tofield Towing building on 51 Avenue. RCMP members, Tofield Fire department, and a Fire investigator attended the scene. Initial investigation suggests that the fire was deliberately set around 2:55 a.m., with a White Chevrolet Silverado noted around the building between 2:20 a.m. and 2:55 a.m. The cause of this fire remains under investigation. 

Tofield RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in furthering the investigation. Anyone with information about this incident, or footage of the area around the Tofield Towing building (on Sept. 16, 2026 between 1:30 a.m. and 3:10 a.m.), is asked to contact the Tofield RCMP at 780-662-3353.
