Burnaby RCMP seek public assistance to identify suspect in sexual assault

The Burnaby RCMP continues to investigate an alleged sexual assault, which took place on February 6, 2026, in a Burnaby Park and are now sharing photos and video of the suspect in and effort to identify the man.

This incident was part of a public notification issued by the Burnaby RCMP on February 11, which can be found here: 2026-02-11.

“We are asking the public to take a close look at these photos and video,” says Corporal Laura Hirst, Media Relations Officer. “If you know this person or recognize him, we are asking you to call our investigators.”

The man is described as:

  • 5’8 to 5’11
  • Medium build
  • 30-40 years old

The male was originally described as wearing all black. The photo shows the male was wearing:

  • Black jacket
  • Black pants
  • Black adidas shoes 
  • Black cross body bag
  • Black glasses
