As the lead agency for the 2025 G7 Integrated Safety Security Group (ISSG), the RCMP will be implementing a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) of temporary air restrictions over Calgary and Kananaskis, Alberta, from June 14 at 6 am to June 17 at 11:59 pm local time.

The RCMP, in coordination with its G7 Summit aviation partners including Transport Canada, the Canadian Armed Forces and NAV CANADA, will work together to ensure the safe management of air traffic to and from the Summit area.

There will be two Canadian Restricted Airspace (CYR) structures over the G7 venues:

CYR 292
CYR 292 will be centered on Kananaskis Village (N50°55'22" W115°08'37") with a radius of 30 NM (nautical miles), excluding the Calgary/Springbank Airport (CYBW) Control Zone. CYAs 226 and 227 will not be active.
CYR 293
CYR 293 will be centered on Calgary International Airport (N51°07'21.41" W114°00'48.05") with a radius of 20 NM, excluding CYR 292 and including the Calgary/Springbank Airport (CYBW) Control Zone. CYA 228 will not be active.

The restricted airspace will allow for security operations and emergency services for authorized aircraft only. There will be no unauthorized flights in the area on these dates. The times and restrictions for these airspaces will be specified by NOTAM closer to the actual dates.

The safety and security of all world leaders attending the G7 Summit in Kananaskis and residents and visitors in the surrounding areas continue to be the top priority for the RCMP ISSG, Government of Canada departments and its partners.
