RCMP employees are expected to conduct themselves in amanner that meets the rightfully high expectations of Canadians. That is because maintaining public confidence andimpartiality is paramount to the RCMP's role in providing policing services. Appropriately addressing and providing information about misconduct is also aligned with our renewed core values and is rooted in respect and accountability, which will go a long way to improve public trust.
