The Codiac Regional RCMP has arrested a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from the Moncton region, and drugs and weapons have been seized following a disturbance complaint in Riverview, N.B. Charges were laid against the 25-year-old man.
On January 12, 2025, at approximately 4:05 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP detachment received a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Coverdale Road, in Riverview.
When police arrived at the scene, they located the vehicle in the parking lot, unoccupied. Police entered the business and located a 25-year-old man who attempted to flee from police on foot, but was quickly arrested. A 23-year-old woman was also arrested inside the business, without incident, and was later released on conditions.
As part of their investigation, police obtained a search warrant and seized the vehicle. During the search, police seized soft body armour, a substantial amount of cannabis, a quantity of suspected fentanyl, knives, brass knuckles, drug paraphernalia and cash.
On January 13, 2025, 25-year-old Isaac Hie appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with:
• Possession of stolen property over $5,000
• Operating a conveyance while prohibited
• Resisting arrest
Isaac Hie was released on conditions, and is scheduled to reappear in Moncton Provincial Court February 21,2025.
The investigation is ongoing.
