RCMP seeking public’s help following home invasion

The Caledonia Region RCMP detachment is asking for the public's help following a home invasion in Lutes Mountain, N.B.

On January 1, 2025, at approximately 11:44 p.m., members of the Caledonia Region RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on Briggs Cross Road, in Lutes Mountain. 

Two individuals forcibly entered the residence by breaking a door window, and proceeded to restrain a man and a woman who were inside the home at the time. Shortly after, the suspects fled the scene with a safe, an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry and other valuable items. One of the victims sustained what were believed to be minor injuries.

The first suspect is described as a man, approximately 25-35 years old, 6 feet (183 centimetres) tall, with blond hair. He spoke with a French accent, and was armed with a long gun. The second suspect is also described as a man, approximately 25-35 years old, 6 feet (183 centimetres) tall, with dark-coloured eyebrows. He also spoke with a French accent, and was armed with a crowbar. Both suspects were wearing black clothing and masks at the time of the incident. 

Anyone who may have information about the home invasion, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity the evening of January 1, or the early morning hours of January 2, 2025, is asked to contact the Caledonia Region RCMP at 506-387-2222. The investigation is ongoing.
