A 71-year-old woman and a 73-year-old woman, both from Stratford, P.E.I, have died following a single-vehicle crash in Shediac, N.B.
On July 17, 2025, at approximately 12:56 p.m., members of the Shediac and Sackville RCMP detachments responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 15, in Shediac. The two passengers of the vehicle, a 71-year-old woman and a 73-year-old woman, died at the scene as a result of their injuries. The driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious, life-threatening injuries.
The crash is believed to have occurred when the vehicle, travelling westbound, left the highway toward the median and rolled in the air before landing on its roof.
Members of Ambulance New Brunswick, the Shediac Fire Department, and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroners Office also attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
Highway 15 was closed to traffic for an extended period of time and has since reopened.
