The Codiac Regional RCMP is seeking the public's help following a shooting incident in Moncton, N.B.
On January 31, 2026, at approximately 4:08 a.m., the Codiac Regional RCMP received a call for service regarding a drive-by shooting that had occurred on Dufferin Street in Moncton.
The Codiac General Investigations Section and the South-East Forensic Identification Section attended the scene and were able to determine that someone discharged a firearm from inside a vehicle toward the residence. The vehicle is described as a dark-coloured sports utility vehicle. No one was injured during the incident.
Police are now releasing surveillance footage photo of the vehicle in hopes that, despite the quality, someone may recognize it.
Police are also asking anyone who lives in the area and has surveillance footage from the time of the incident, or who has information that could help further the investigation, to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400. The investigation is ongoing.
