RCMP seeking public’s help following suspicious vehicle fire

The Caraquet RCMP is seeking the public's help in connection with a suspicious vehicle fire in Bas-Paquetville, N.B.

On March 14, 2026, at approximately 3:05 a.m., members of the Caraquet RCMP received a report of a vehicle on fire on Paquetville Road in Bas-Paquetville. The jeep also had a U‑Haul trailer attached to it.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set. No one was injured at the time of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
