63-year-old woman dies following a two-vehicle collision

A 63-year-old woman from Grande Anse, N.B., has died following a two-vehicle collision in Maisonnette, N.B.

On March 22, 2026, at approximately 1:09 a.m., members of the Caraquet RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Degrâce Street in Maisonnette. 

The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of an SUV crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic and collided with an oncoming SUV. 

The driver of the oncoming SUV, a 63-year-old woman from Grande Anse and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene as a result of her injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the other SUV was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Members of the Maisonnette Fire Department and the Coroner’s Office attended the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
