A 16-year-old youth and an 18-year-old man from New Brunswick have been charged following a series of incidents involving dangerous driving, assaults, and an armed robbery in Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview.
On April 29, 2026, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to multiple reports of a grey Toyota RAV‑4 being operated dangerously in Moncton, Dieppe, and Riverview. Police attempted to intercept the vehicle; however, it failed to stop for officers.
Later that evening, at approximately 8:43 p.m., Police responded to a report of an assault involving two occupants of a vehicle parked at a business on Dieppe Boulevard in Dieppe. It was reported that the victims were assaulted by a group associated with the same grey Toyota RAV‑4 and were sprayed with a substance believed to be pepper spray before the suspects fled the area.
At approximately 9:21 p.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business located on Paul Street in Dieppe. Police were told that several suspects arrived at the location in the Toyota RAV‑4 and stole merchandise. When confronted by an employee of the business, one suspect reportedly brandished a knife while another sprayed pepper spray, affecting five individuals, including customers and employees. All victims were treated for their injuries.
In the early morning hours of April 30, police received another report of dangerous driving involving the same vehicle. At approximately 2:36 a.m., officers located the Toyota RAV‑4 on Dieppe Boulevard. The suspects attempted to evade through a dirt road off Dieppe Boulevard following the successful application of a tire deflation device. Following a short foot pursuit with a 18-year-old man, a 16-year-old youth, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest, and the 18-year-old man were both arrested without incident.
Both individuals appeared in Moncton Provincial Court later that day.
The 16-year-old youth was charged in connection with several separate, unrelated incidents, as well as possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with this incident.
18-year-old Kyle Larocque was charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.
Both individuals were remanded into custody and are scheduled to return to Moncton Provincial Court on May 1 at 1:30 p.m.
The investigation remains ongoing.
