The Saint-Quentin RCMP is seeking the public’s help to identify a person of interest in connection with a counterfeit money investigation.
On April 24, 2026, The Saint-Quentin RCMP received a report that an individual had used counterfeit $100 bills at businesses in both Kedgwick and Saint-Quentin.
Police are now releasing surveillance footage photos of the individual in hopes that someone may recognize him. He is described as being a man, possibly in his late 20’s or early 30’s, with a medium build, a shaved head and a beard. On both occasions, he was wearing all black with a black hat. He was also travelling in a gray 4-door Ford F150.
The RCMP warns that anyone who circulates counterfeit currency may face arrest and prosecution under the Criminal Code of Canada. If you are a business and you receive a suspicious bill and the suspect is still at the scene, call 911.
Anyone who recognizes the individual in the photo, or who has information that could help further the investigation, is asked to contact the Saint-Quentin RCMP at 506-235-2149. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at https://crimenb.ca/.
