RCMP investigating suspicious fire

The Keswick RCMP is investigating a suspicious fire in Zealand, N.B.

On May 2, 2026, at approximately 9:54 p.m., members of the Keswick RCMP and the Keswick Valley Fire Department responded to a report of a residential fire on Morehouse Corner Road, in Zealand, N.B. One individual was inside at the time of the fire, however, was able to safely exit the residence. 

Through the investigation, the New Brunswick Office of the Fire Marshal determined that the fire had been intentionally set. 

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the fire or has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the Keswick RCMP at 506-357-4300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.

The investigation is ongoing.
