RCMP seeking public’s help following hit-and-run involving pedestrian

The Sussex RCMP is seeking the public’s help to identify a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run incident in Sussex, N.B.

On May 12, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., members of the Sussex RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Church Avenue in Sussex. A 61-year-old man from the community was standing outside when a vehicle struck his foot and continued southbound toward Wards Creek Road without stopping.  

The vehicle is described as an older gold-coloured Toyota sedan. The driver is described as a young male with short hair. 

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle, was in the area at the time of the incident, has dash cam footage, or has information that could help further the investigation, is asked to contact the Sussex RCMP at 506-433-7700. The investigation is ongoing.
